Isham B. Thomas and his sister, Mary Thomas, from Bulloch County, Georgia, in 1800 are as far back as my Thomas genealogy goes at the present. I have not been able to identify their parents or other siblings. Isham ultimately settled in Alachua County, Florida, in 1851 and his nine children married and remained in Florida. Mary's Odum children mostly gravitated to Wayne County, Georgia, beginning in the 1850's where a son, Godfrey Odum, was the namesake for the town of Odum. Another son, Leonard, went to Volusia County, Florida, about the same time and, while not as prominent there, was prolific. Mary's only Kicklighter child, a daughter, married and settled in Bryan County, Georgia.
